Tonimoes Restaurant - Inuvik

Tonimoes no longer exists! I believe they have a location in Whitehorse, Yukon but no longer on Inuvik.

This restaurant is closed but you can eat at the restaurant bar.The food is ok, not enough veggies. The locals best kept secret is eat at the hospital, the food is made there, its healthy and less expensive than anywhere else in town.

Went to Mackenzie Hotel and sign says "closed for renovations" with no date. Went to Shivers across the hall which serves bar food but no muskox burger. The waitress said they had shut down and moved to Whitehorse.

Great Arctic fare. I decided on the musk ox burger with a little trepidation. It was perfect! The Arctic Char was also excellent. Nice decor and very good staff.

Excellent breakfast value. The dinners were pretty good too. Our group tried several things and all were pretty good considering you are above the Arctic circle. Where else do you get muskox burgers? Tuesday is scotch night in the bar.. 'nuff said.
