Philippine Cuisine - Inverness

This restaurant offers some of the finest and most authentic Filipino cuisine I've ever tasted. Their chicken adobo and chicken curry are exceptional. The lumpia is fantastic too. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall experience.

The shrimp fried rice portion was generous, but it didn’t look very appetizing. As someone who has worked as a chef for many years, I know that you often taste a dish with your eyes first. Unfortunately, the rice was mushy and overcooked, and the ingredients didn’t blend well together. On the positive side, the vegetables were undeniably fresh, and the shrimp were large and also fresh. However, the mushy rice and lack of flavor integration brought down my overall rating. As for the pancakes (noodles), they suffered from the same issue: not mixed well enough. The ingredients and vegetables were exceptionally fresh but lacked cohesion. Now, about those wings—they were fantastic! I really enjoyed them. The only downside was the basic shelf sauce; this chicken deserves a homemade sweet sauce. My recommendation would be to focus on quality over quantity. Smaller portions could be served at a lower price, allowing the cuisine to shine in a better way. This would ensure that every component of the dish gets the attention and flavor it deserves.

The food here is consistently tender and bursting with flavor! I also enjoy browsing their small store. We've both dined in and ordered takeout, and when you eat in, the owners go out of their way to ensure you're full and happy with your meal. This place is truly a hidden gem in Inverness!

This is a very small restaurant but has great food with big time flavor. The curry is outstanding but so is everything else that we have tried. Plus the owner is a fantastic fella a REAL Philippine . Its primarily a take out but has seating for just like maybe 3 or 4 . We go once a week!!!
