Burger King - Ionia

Probably the overall best Burger King I have been to. That isn't a glowing recommendation because most Burger Kings aren't that great. But the owners here keep the place up, workers are among the best you will find at a Burger King and the food is OK. I try not to go to fast food more than a couple times a month, but if you are in a hurry, you can do a lot worse that this place for fast food. I also give Burger King credit for adding plant based options to their menu. A side note, both my kids got their first summer job here 30 or so years ago, and frankly it was quite poorly run.and bad even for a Burger King. It ended up good for the kids though. The first day of work, they put my 15 year old son on the cash register because he was the only employee who could count money accurately. 2 years later when my daughter worked a summer, she was frequently harassed, but held her own and put the creeps in their place. The place has improved dramatically since then. The good thing was after working there, the kids determined they would study hard to improve themselves so they could hopefully do better both eventually went to graduate school in medicine and law, and work in those fields to this day. Some not so great things can end up leading to better things. I do give credit though to the current ownership turning this place into a solid fast food restaurant. Ya know, I get it. It's hard to get people to work at a fast food place. However, I placed my order repeated it 2 times, got to the pay window to confirm and the order was still wrong. I ordered a whopper meal, medium fry with a large drink. They had the fry and drink switched no big deal the girl at the window fixed and I paid for my meal. I get to the window get my meal the burger and fry were correct but tried to hand me thr wrong drink. The server at the window corrected it after I showed the receipt. Lack of communication from the staff and failure to review the order before it goes out. The ONLY plus side to this was the burger and fries were hot. Next time I'll try my luck with the clown on top of the hill. I've never been a fan of Burger Kings food. Tonight, this was the only place open. It was drive thru only with a huge line backed up to the road. The backup wasn't because they were slow it was because they were the only place open due to the power outages. I'm giving a good review for the service. They were quick, accurate, and friendly. Normally, when I go to fast food and things are hectic and very busy, the servers are not friendly. Kudos to the workers tonight they were great. Super fresh with grest offers with the App. Just went through after a major power outage, so they were swamped, but they were still so friendly and accurate with orders. Well done!
