Rural Lounge - Irma

Hey folks. This is my kind of place. Great to see a rustic bar in these parts. Give the barmaids a raise haha!

Loved the dill kettle chips! I also love the selection of frozen alcoholic beverages! The Bellini is so good!

Rave to the Rural Lounge in Irma for the awesome chicken wings with your exceptional homemade seasoning O Canada . Rave to our wonderful server Melissa for your good service and friendliness. Sunday 's road trip took us from Kinsella, Hardisty, and the final destination Irma before heading home. We were able to experience great food and excellent service. Irma was no exception. From outside the building, it looks a little plain. Once inside though, I experienced a quaint and rustic looking place with great ventilation and air conditioning. The bar area was beautiful. They had a sign on the door that says it was family friendly before 8pm. Before going to the Rural Lounge, I did some research and came across this one review that mentioned O Canada . I thought can one seasoning really be that good? The chicken wings came out hot and crispy with minimal oil. It was juicy and the wings tasted fresh. Normally with a seasoning, you can tell whether it 's on the sweeter side, spicy, or salty. This dry rub seasoning was unique and delicious. It had a slight hint of curry, with an almost honey/maple syrup type of sweetness, combined with other tasty spices and herbs. We will be back in the future and try their other menu offerings.... as well as the O Canada chicken wings :

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat before some meetings in the Wainright area. The food was excellent, though on this day the service was a bit slow. Would recommend for a visit, just make sure you allow some extra time.
