Kiyo Sushi Sake - Irvine

This restaurant is amazing! my expectations were blown away from the quality, fresh and overall taste of the dishes. the chefs are super nice and friendly and came with amazing dresses with 11/10 presentation for everyone. this is one of the best sushi restaurants I ever had and will return 100%!

A very busy place at most of the time. Be patient and only come here when you're not in rush. The place is clean and staffs were friendly. All the dishes were well presented and absolutely delicious with very high quality ingredients. Of course it's expensive but like people always said: You got for what you paid for. Will definitely come back for more

We tried cali rolls, avocado hand roll, edamame and miso soup. The Avocado rolls are unfulfilling. It needs more plus not in cone shape. Miso soup could be slightly bigger. Cali cut roll was very good. Proportions, size and taste was excellent. Edamame excellent portion. Price was good we will give it another try.

What happened to this place? Used to be solid pre pandemic. Now it is a mess. Terrible service and has food gone downhill. Feels like a diner. Food comes out whenever they want not when you want. Avoid the cooked food. Outright fail. Steak dish was horrendous. Fish was not much better. A lot better options for Japanese food at this price point in the area.

Worst experience ever!!!! I will never go here again. I placed my order online and paid. I was given a time of 20 minutes to pick it up. This place is 4 minutes from my house. First off- the staff was incredibly rude. When I asked about a pick ups- she continued to look at her phone and told me to “hold on, she’ll be with me in a minute”. From there it got worse. The guy host was chaotic and very confused. Couldn’t find my order by name or . I had to pull up my online confirmation. From there he panicked, and told me it would be 10 minutes. I came back 15 minutes later to the exact same scenario. I waited well over an hour, saw him and heard him speaking with 3 other staff members about my order. Finally- he basically runs over a bag to me and said “ here you go” and ran off again. So 4 minutes later when I got home- completely wrong order. Not one even semi- similar item was in the bag. I called the restaurant, conveniently it went to voicemail and the mailbox was full. I called back probably 20 times with no answer and no way to leave a message. I would not recommend my worst enemy to go eat at this place
