Bidra med feedback"I had the pan-fried rice with barbecue pork and shrimp, which was delicious! The steamed pork dumplings with shrimp (siu mai) were delightful as well. I also tried the steamed dumplings filled with shrimp and chives – they were excellent too! Lastly, the steamed pork spare ribs with black bean sauce were a tasty addition to the meal. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!"
We arrived an hour before closing time, and the staff had already begun cleaning half of the dining room, with chairs stacked up and everyone seated in the other half. Our food came out quickly and was served hot. The pork buns were delicious and something special to THW. We ordered steamed rice rolls with shrimp and chives, pan-fried noodles, shrimp dumplings, steamed pork ribs with black bean sauce, and braised beef brisket with turnip. While the food was certainly good, the pork buns and brisket were the standout dishes. The rest of the offerings were pretty similar to what you’d find at other dim sum places, except that this restaurant is open at night. The atmosphere felt a bit like a bar winding down, and the service was satisfactory until they shifted their focus to preparing for a party of 12, after which, we felt less attended to. Unlike the location in Honolulu, there were no regional specialties available here. Overall, we left feeling satisfied but not particularly impressed; it was simply dim sum at night.
In A Nutshell:-This was the 2nd Tim Ho Wan location I've eaten at.-Compared to the Vegas location, it's not as aesthetically pleasing to the eye for obvious reasons, but it is very clean bright which is good.-The service here is very, very good, kind attentive!-The menu options are standard the food quality is superb.-Every item ordered was very tasty, which is why this dim sum spot always ranks high among other foodies.Overall, I really enjoyed eating at this location in Irvine.
This is the second Tim Ho Wan I’ve been to and it’s just as amazing as the one in Honolulu. All of the dim sum is wonderful, but the pork buns are the most unique (they’re sweet and savory in the perfect way) and the cucumber salad is the best side dish. Don’t forget to enjoy it with some jasmine tea! It really makes the experience better.
Came here for lunch on New Year's Day and was seated immediately. The servers were personable and friendly. I did have to call them a couple of times by raising my hand to get to-go boxes in my check. My favorite dishes are the shrimp rice rolls, the daikon cake, and the lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice. I had taro sago dessert and the taro was just a little undercooked. A little crunchier than I would like it. All in. All in all, a good Dim sum place. Very nice decor and quite spacious. Doesn't compare to the actual one in Hong Kong though
