Country Cafe - Irving

From a long travel to come here and see the fact that the waitress had a bad attitude without wanting to work and the cold food felt frozen and the excess fat eggs would be the first and the last time being here thanks

Food was great portions and super hot temperature unlike Joe's cafe that was cold on items.

The food here is incredible, and the service is quick and excellent. The catfish was tender and flaky, not chewy or overcooked. The country fried steak was also tender and packed with flavor. I really appreciated that the salsa was served warm and had a nice bite to it. I highly recommend this restaurant. The prices are great, and the dishes come out hot, fresh, and perfectly prepared.

The portions were so generous that most meals came on two plates. We tried the pork chops, chicken fried steak, breakfast ham, pancakes, French toast, biscuits and gravy, and potatoes prepared either as hash browns or country-style. Everything was excellent, and it might just be one of the best breakfast spots we’ve discovered in a long time. We wished it were closer to Mesquite! Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious, and we had no complaints. As for pricing, it’s not the cheapest option, but considering the generous servings, it was a great deal. We loved it so much that we decided to return the next day. On my first visit, I had the pork chops, and even though they came in a generous portion of two, they were so large that I took one back to my room. The next day, I opted for the chicken fried steak, which was also massive. A couple of people in our group ordered the breakfast ham, and it was nearly an inch thick! We also ordered some of their homemade salsa on the side, and it was fantastic. Who knows, we might just make the drive from Mesquite again just to eat there!

I really liked this charming country-style restaurant. The service was fast, and my food arrived quickly! From the sounds coming from the kitchen, it was clear that the team there is close-knit and works well together. While it's not a fancy or modern place, if you're looking for a quick, traditional meal, I recommend giving it a try! I had the chicken fried steak, and it was decent.
