Bidra med feedbackI wanted to check out what all the hype was about, and it turned out to be just okay. The drink I was served was incredibly strong, which made it unenjoyable for me, so I ended up giving it to my sister. I'm not a big drinker, but I suppose it could be appealing to someone who enjoys that kind of strength at 11 o'clock in the morning. The food was decent, but my sister had to return hers and opted for a different version of what I ordered. The place got crowded quickly, embodying the true essence of a midday break!
I ordered the special, which included pupusa, tamales, yuca, fried plantains, and rice. I generally enjoy all of these dishes, and based on other reviews, this restaurant seemed authentic, so I had high expectations. Perhaps that is why my experience was only average and somewhat bland. It was definitely a solid meal, but not exceptional. Take that for what you will.
I loved this restaurant! The ambiance was fantastic, the service was excellent, and there were plenty of vegetarian options. The drinks were great, but above all, the food was amazing! I enjoyed everything we ordered: the Passion cocktail, vegetarian enchiladas, and the plantain appetizer. Both desserts—the churros and the plantain in orange sauce with ice cream—were delightful. Even the chips and salsa were exceptional! I highly recommend this place! They offer a variety of tasty vegetarian options, and the parking situation is simple with a large lot nearby. Additionally, they accommodate dietary restrictions like vegan and gluten-free diets.
Eating was amazing and service is also great. I strongly recommend the banans dessert it was amazing! also the appetizer for queso was super good. my man tried the grilled quail and it was very good (consider with the tiny bones) and I got the gloria enchiladas with garnel.
Great, attentive, friendly staff. Clean environment. Love the desserts. My Chile relleno was greasy and fell apart and the person I dined with salmon was overcooked. I recommend sticking with the enchiladas. Not going lie, nothing beats the original location in Oak Cliff.
