Tikka Taco - Irving

I went to the Tikka Taco restaurant around 9pm on Friday night. The ambiance was good and calm, with not a lot of people. The staff working there was the most friendly one I have seen. We ordered Chinese bhel, taco with paneer tikka and veg Manchurian (we get 2 tacos per order and we can choose different stuffings), Rumali roti with achari aloo stuffing, and additionally, we got the chips and salsa since I checked in!The chips and salsa were average (the chips were not fried well)! The tacos were the best! Both paneer tikka and veg Manchurian were flavorful and an absolute delight! However, I would not recommend the Chinese bhel because the regular one is too spicy (though the staff working there informed about this). The rumali roti with achari aloo was average again! I would suggest going with the tacos (naan base always, not rumali) instead!Overall, Tikka Taco is a very unique Indian taco place to visit, especially for the delicious tacos. Just keep in mind to avoid the Chinese bhel if you're not a fan of spicy food. Don't forget to check-in for the complimentary chips and salsa!

One of my all time favorite restaurants.I always get the butter chicken masala, spinach curry with cubes of cheese, with a side of butter garlic nan. The owner is always kind and always checks that the customer is satisfied with their food. I always order extra curry and eat throughout the week- the food always comes in reusable containers so they are easy to take for lunch at work. The curries and masala's are rich with spices and butter- this is why I recommend you always get nan to soak up all that flavor.

You pay for what you get but in this case it really wasn’t. ? We ordered Bejing Ka King Sizzler Platter (supposedly feeds 2 3 people) and the Tandori Fries. The platter had little to no noodles, the 2 3 different types of chicken was too spicy to eat, the sizzler plate felt a little hazardous as something was burning causing us and the tables around us cough. ? Now to the quantity vs price the platter which was said to be for 2 3 people which was maybe the size of a single entree which was priced at 27.99. The tandoori fries were dry almost like it was dehydrated with a very off sweet and sour taste. The service, quality, quantity, and price of this experience was absolutely disappointing. Besides the ambiance everything was subpar. Definitely won’t be back and hope this restaurant starts to take their bad reviews seriously because it definitely feels like a scam.

Recently moved to the area and went to try out this place. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The food was wonderful as well. The curry was great with a good amount of spice. Their grilled platter and naan taco was also really good, came with their homemade sauce, again also very good. If you are into spices, curries, herbs, this is a great place. We will definitely be back regularly.
