Bidra med feedbackAbsolutely the best quality sushi I have had outside of japan. Non sushi was not as great but still pretty good. I had the beef sukiyaki udon. The fish was fresh and did not leave a fishy or saltwatery after taste in the mouth. It was niether cold norlukewarm and the sushi chef prepared the sushi with some wasabi underneath the fish just like in japan. Aoi definitely knowswhat theyre doing. Only con would be the price of the sushi.
Little gem of a Japanese restaurant tucked away inside the APA hotel all the dishes were beautifully presented and you wouldn’t expect such fresh and varying types of sashimi cuts in Woodbridge. The hot dishes were fantastic the katsu (porkchop) is crispy and thick yet tender, and the hamachi kama (grilled yellowtail jaw) came with two pieces and had lots of meat.
This was my first experience with Omakase, and the food was excellent. However, the service was slower than expected. There was only one sushi chef preparing the seven-course Omakase for about 13 guests on a busy Friday night. We started our meal at 6:30 and didn't finish until 9:30.
I was on the hunt for an authentic Japanese restaurant when I stumbled upon this gem, located quietly inside the APA Hotel. The ambiance is quite classy, creating a wonderful atmosphere, and the waitstaff frequently check in to ensure you’re enjoying your meal. I ordered the eel don, and it was fantastic—bold yet delicate flavors coming together perfectly. It was quite filling, with a great balance of textures from the rice. I believe there were shredded tofu bits mixed in, which was a delightful touch. While it is on the pricier side, you definitely get quality for what you pay. I would rate it a solid 10/10 and will definitely return!
The atmosphere here is lovely, situated within a hotel. While the portion sizes are a bit small for the price, the fried oysters are absolutely outstanding. I've returned several times just for them, and they are a great value during happy hour.
