Bidra med feedbackNice food and excellent value for money. The staff however, in particular the owners should be more welcoming and pleasant!! I visited here several times. Someone I know ate there regularly for over a year, and was never made to feel particularly welcome, considering how much money they spent there! Customer relations need looking at, especially for regulars!!!
With only 40 minutes left before our coach left, we decided to grab a drink and a sandwich at The Copper Kettle. Despite the kitchen closing in 8 minutes, the staff were incredibly accommodating and quickly seated us, presented us with menus, and allowed us to place our order. We opted for an English Breakfast, an All Day Breakfast, coffee, and tea. The fact that they catered to Coeliacs (Gluten-free) without any fuss was a huge bonus. The entire experience at The Copper Kettle was exceptional. From the perfectly cooked food to the attentive service, reasonable prices, and spotless cleanliness, we couldn't have asked for more. We only wish this café was closer to our hometown. When we visit Shanklin again, we will definitely be returning to The Copper Kettle. A big thank you to the ladies who made us feel so welcome and helped us make it back to our coach on time. Highly recommended.
A really great breakfast in a cute little cafe. We both had Eggs Florentine. Poached eggs were beautifully cooked and the hollandaise sauce was lovely. Very good value, friendly staff what's not to like.
The Copper Kettle on the IoW is one of those fantastic 'Caffs ' that serve a perfect meal for the time when you just fancy egg chips and a really decent cup of Rosie Lee. They do everything well including Paninis and spotted dick and apple crumble with custard. Many call this haven of English 'cuisine ' a transport caff or a greasy spoon. But that doesn 't cut it with The Copper Kettle. Because everything is sparkling clean and there are no greasy patches in sight. Mandy is a no nonsense caterer and processes your order with quiet efficiency. These types of establishments are dying out well in London anyway and the decor is 50 's candy stripes of American diner interior. Which is why Doug of our party returned with us he had the American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. But you don 't go for the architecture! You go for the best cup of tea on the island (Mandy let on that the tea was 'Yorkshire Tea ' which are actually the suppliers of tea for M S (yes really! So listen up IoWighters! Use it or lose it! We want it to still be there when we return, please! (Oh! And they know where their nearest bandstand is but that 's another story. And thank you Mandy and team.
Definitely won't eat there again after driving half way over the island to eat there. Wrong drink to start with I thought I would forgive and forget but then she asked me if I wanted chips or garlic bread. I asked for chips. it came with garlic bread not chips. I waited for the chips as garlic bread was dry as anything!!. They said they were busy so I thought about saying don't worry about the chips but I didn't want the dry garlic bread and small piece of Lasagne. Such a shame as we loved to have a little drive over there. Wish the owners well as they are very nice but won't waste my time again.
