Rita's Italian Ice Frozen Custard

Delicious frozen treat! I highly recommend it over regular ice cream.

The gelatos here are fantastic! I had the watermelon, custard, and a flavor called "annoyings." You have to try the custard the first time—it’s incredibly delicious and unique. I kind of wish I had tried the "berry" flavor instead, but it was still really tasty!

This place is much better than Hodges. Our orders are always correct, and there are no extra charges. The staff here is super friendly and quick. It's worth the safe drive across the bridge!

The Italian ice is excellent! It 's tough to find good dairy free dessert options for my kids and me, but we didn 't feel like this was an 'alternate ' dessert choice. It 's legitimately fantastic flavor and quality. We tried the lemon, mango orange, chocolate, and Kandi. Mango orange was my favorite, but the lemon is reaaaaally impressive. We got there right at opening time and the very personable, friendly, and kind staff member (maybe the owner? said they would have to open late for repairs but if we just wanted ice it would be on the house. He didn 't have to do that we would have understood. We even tried to give him cash but he refused. I really hope we have time to get back there before we leave town, both to support the staff and to get as much of that ice as possible, 'cause you can 't find this quality in the stores!
