Bidra med feedbackThe bao buns were fantastic. The best texture for the buns I’ve found locally the perfect ratio of bready, soft, and moist. The ramen was really good. The cocktail was ok. The ambience of the place is modern and clean, with floral and artsy aesthetic. Worth a try.
Always good service and great food! We usually sit outside but today was too warm out so we enjoyed the dining room. The 4 times we have gone we got a table right away and the food came quickly. The servers are all knowledgeable about the menu and offer great recommendations if you need some help. I always get the Don with vegetables and spicy pork. My husband and kids get the Ramen. It was my sisters birthday so she got some Mochi for dessert.
Five Points Neighborhood area, parking: like playing Crossy Roads, except you 're the car, hoping u don 't hit a hippy pedestrian. Do grin when u find a spot to park. Although Jacksonville citizens want to label this place trendy and historic- it feels more like a .25 mile radius haven for marijuana smokers, craft-beer hopping 20 something 's, and street nooks littered with homelessness ... Kind of similar to NYC Village- but it 's ugly red headed stepchild more kind of vibe... Crane Ramen is in the trendy Five-Points zone. It has small seating out front, inside main lobby, by the bar zone towards the back and an outdoor area adjacent to the bar. It is pretty swanky by the bar. Outdoor seating in the back smells if u sit closer to the alley way. THE FOOD. Gyoza and Pork Belly Moshu bun were delicious. Chicken Ramen broth was good, the Ramen noodle... well it 's comparable to the 50 cent Ramen noodle you can buy in the Asian grocery store... I had the Special Ramen of the day... it had 3 large Shrimp, ramen noodles, standard egg, and some veges but the broth lacked flavor. For an 17 dollar soup special of the day you would think it would have a wow factor. It lacked the wow, kind of similar to this Five Points District.
The food is here always hits the spot, between the ramen and the pork buns you can't go wrong (you better try the pork buns). My only gripe is the servers tend to sometimes sit in the back by the bar lurking instead of checking up on customers more. This stopped me from getting some more appetizers at the pace I'd like but it's only enough to knock 1 star off.
This food was amazing! I had a spicy tonga something bowl. My step son had something else, his had Purple broccoli! Looked pretty cool.Small place, comfortable and cool atmosphere. It is in the trendy part of town. Our two bowls came out to around 30 bucks.Has my recommendation, I know I'll be back
