V Pizza Tap Garden - Jacksonville

We had a drink and pizza here. They had run out of wings even though board was displayed. They have huge writeup on how they procure ingredients including flour form Naples, Italy. The cheese and pizza did seem different from American chains. This is casual place with several cops having food, the cashier serving drinks which you carry to your table. But try their pizzas.

When reserving a room for a private party, it makes no sense that there isn 't a designated server for that room. It doesn 't matter that in your normal dining room you order yourself and people bring it to you. Somebody should be designated to help bring drinks, plates, silverware etc. for the private room. Also, don 't tell people you have a private room when there is no privacy because there isn 't a door in the room. The whole point of a private room is so you don 't hear all the noise outside of the room, and the main dining area doesn 't hear everything you 're talking about either. The food was good, no complaints there, but still a little bothered by the lack of privacy for the private room.

V has the best pizza in Jax, hands down. I don't live in Jax anymore, but still make it a point to go when I'm in FL visiting friends and family. Prices are reasonable, ingredients are fresh, food usually comes quickly, service is friendly. I also love that ownership gives back to the community through their charity. Sidecar has great cocktails and solid drink specials. ONLY downside is parking kinda sucks, but that's true of anywhere in San Marco. Can't say enough good about this place. 12/10, definitely recommend
