The food was served in plastic to go boxes with plastic silverware, but that didn't affect how out of this world delicious it was! I ordered the steak and scallops, and that came with 3 vegetables, rice, and a salad. The food was seasoned and cooked to perfection, I was not the least bit disappointed. The serving sizes were large; neither my friend or me cleared out plate, we both left with doggy bags. They don't have paper menus right now, they have a QR code you scan that pulls the menu up on your phone. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. I would recommend this restaurant and I would definitely eat here again.
I remember when this place was clean, actually used cloth napkins, had a larger menu, and was always a popular spot. I can concede to the obvious lower standards, however, now they are not even making the rice at the hibachi table. They are bringing it out from the kitchen and it is nothing like their usual fried rice. Actually tastes like rice-a-roni. The rice was one of the most delicious parts of the meal. Also, why is it necessary to serve the salads in disposable plastic container when people are dining in? Talk about bad for the environment and not very classy.
Besides our chef, not a good hibachi experience whatsoever. The restaurant ambiance is drab, dingy, and dark this can be overlooked obviously. The food however, was not on par for what one would expect from hibachi. Salad served in a to go container. Strange, but can deal. Fried rice not made in front of you (they bring it out from the back) and it was not good. The consistency of the rice was as if it came out of a microwaved package, then fried. The hibachi veggies were good but a bit bland. The chicken and shrimp only tasted of butter and black pepper. They do not have the classic yum yum sauce (although the salad dressing is close and sufficed, and NO ginger sauce. One wonders if the quality has deteriorated due to COVID or if this is how it 's always been. Overall, I would not return to this establishment. It 's unfortunate because it is close to home and we had high hopes.
This place used to be very good. Some items on the menu are unavailable. The salad and dressing were very good, but the salad came in a prepackaged clam shell container. Soup is no longer provided. Also, the 2 common sauces that usually accompany your meal were not provided. Our particular chef was nice but young and inexperienced. Entertainment value was not there. The hostess was very nice and friendly. The restaurant itself was dingy and dated.
They never disappoint when I go here. Food is so fresh, well seasoned, great portions. I always get the salmon and shrimp teriyaki combination platter. WELL WORTH THE $23+ Great service as well. I love going to dine in.
