Jam On Hawthorne - Jennings Lodge

We know family members of one the owners so while we were in town we wanted to visit. I must say the food was a disappointment. We had the biscuits and gravy, very bland and the biscuit was dry and tasteless. My eggs and ham was decent.

An absolute delight as per usual! I had the hashbrown bennie which is brilliant and I hope more people stay doing this! When I was last in the restaurant was much smaller or I didn't see the second seating area. Either way, it was a large room and busy but our waiter was a pro and was attentive and prompt.

The **** mary’s were a highlight for me! But many of the dishes were tasty and inventive! Many vegan options, good drip coffee, and the whole staff is friendly The only thing that surprised me was the jam was just ok ‍ ️

My fiancée and I come here a couple times a month and have never had a poor experience until today. We both ordered their special, the smoked steelhead hash. Hers was excellent, my first bite may as well have been a spoonful of salt. It was a jump scare. I can still taste the salt on my tongue a couple hours later. Still not really sure what happened there. They of course remade it for me, but not before we had to sit there for 20 minutes for a single waiter, not even our own, to come by. Not … – show

They will tell you 40 mins, then you wait 2 hours in the cold for a table for mid grade food and mid grade service. Don't understand the hype. Couldn't reccomend against this place enough lol
