Light Horse Tavern - Jersey City

I’m going to update my review again to 4 stars! Happy hours is the best! — previous review It was 4+ stars and my go-to local restaurant until yesterday. We had order Risotto and hanger steak. The risotto was too salty to eat. Hanger steak was pungent, and associate vegetables were also too salty. Both foods taste really bad, seriously. The only good thing was bread. I know this place was good. But somehow, food quality changes so badly.

Have been there a few times and each time the service was bad. Waiting a while to get the order, drinks and plates. Had to get in to ask for the bill. The food is mediocre for this price point. The mussels were mostly closed. Pork was dry (overcooked).

Came here to celebrate birthday. Adrian was awesome and helpful with all details : and we did not wait food that long as in Lobster Garage. Staff also is friendly:

Came here to meet up with a coworker. Really good food, especially the weekday specials.

Great place for sea food lovers but little to no vegetarian options. Good choices of beers and frozen drinks
