Tzemah - Jerusalem

The food at this restaurant is amazing, but the atmosphere is more like a nightclub with very loud music. It's a beautiful place, but not ideal for a quiet chat. The prices are a bit high, so we ended up having dessert at a local ice cream shop instead. There are better dining options in the neighborhood.

I appreciated the effort to incorporate sweetness into many of their dishes, but unfortunately, it was not a flavor I particularly enjoyed. However, the generous portions made for a satisfying meal.

We arrived at the restaurant to try the vegan options. The restaurant was filled with plants and had an open kitchen and bar. The service was pleasant and welcoming. For our meal, we ordered a mushroom cigar, eggplant tartare, and mushroom skewer. The mushroom cigar dish included 3 crispy cigars with tahini sauce and radish. It was a great dish to share. The mushroom skewer was visually impressive, but tasted sweeter than expected due to the cream. The eggplant tartare had a strong lemon flavor, so our waitress kindly replaced it with the roasted eggplant dish, which turned out to be the highlight of our meal. The flavors were excellent and the strawberry sorbet was refreshing. For dessert, we tried the vegan malabi with mint tea. Unfortunately, the presentation of the malabi was disappointing as it came in a cheap-looking plastic box. The taste was good, but it was a standard malabi and not very impressive. Overall, it was enjoyable to dine at a fully vegetarian restaurant with a large vegan menu in Jerusalem, but they could improve by adding more dessert options.

Very good vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options. Also available is a tasting menu that is very nice and a good value
