Gilligan's Steamer Raw - Johns Island

I have been dining at this restaurant for many years and recently encountered an issue, which was promptly and satisfactorily resolved by the management. The overall experience was positive, with good food and service. There may be a bit of a wait during peak hours, but the menu offers a variety of delicious steamed seafood options.

After many years eating here, had problem that she quickly solved to my satisfaction. Good management, good food and service. Some waiting times at peak times. Good menu of damped seafood.

The best hush puppies hands down! They just melt in your mouth. Whenever I come to Charleston I have to make a stop or two. Great service too.

The restaurant offers tasty dishes at affordable prices. We tried the honey salmon with fries and the Flounder sandwich with fries and Mexican street corn. Both the salmon and flounder sandwiches were delicious, the fries were crispy, but the Mexican street corn could have been improved with a more grilled flavor. Despite this, it was still enjoyable and even better when we reheated it the next day. The complimentary Hush puppies were excellent. The restaurant has a lovely decor, spacious seating, and a very friendly staff.
