99 Hops House - Joliet

We've been celebrating family birthdays here for years, but we hadn't visited in two years due to COVID. We went back recently, and I noticed the menu has changed. They no longer offer any of our old favorites. My husband mentioned that the burger tasted different; it used to be fantastic. I also didn't enjoy the wings at all. I think we might look for a new place to celebrate our birthdays from now on.

I visited the restaurant for the NASCAR Championship viewing party, and it turned out to be a great experience. The staff was friendly, and the food was enjoyable. The Mac and Cheese (with a chicken option) may not have been the best I've ever tasted, but it was definitely very good. It was served hot with a crispy top, just as advertised—thankfully, it wasn't burnt as can sometimes occur. The chicken cubes were cooked perfectly.

My partner and I had a fantastic dinner last night. We ordered the pub pretzels as an appetizer, along with fish and chips, and the Tennessee fire chicken sandwich. The food was excellent (and my partner is a food critic), and the service was outstanding. We will definitely be returning!

I had an amazing dining experience! Chef Nico has truly outdone himself with the new menu. The food is exceptionally fresh and delicious. The burgers are divine, and the fish tacos are incredibly savory. There's a great selection of meals for everyone. I can’t wait to see what the new autumn menu will bring! The atmosphere is wonderful, especially with live music on Friday and Saturday. They also have a TV for sports fans. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Be sure to visit Chef Nico for a fantastic experience!
