Campanile - Joué-lés-Tours

We 've eaten in many Campanile restaurants over the years and this is one that has been revamped into a Le restaurant. The decor is standard as were the older Campanile restaurants which had the mock firepace canopy and a more olde worlde style. So we would know where we were without being told because of the familiar decor which is modern and functional. The chairs are so uncomfortable, but the food is as good as ever because it 's up to you what you select from the starter and dessert buffets. The choice is tremendous and lots of it is really tasty. For the first time we encountered the hot buffet which was really good with two chefs serving whatever one wanted from a large variety. As always with a hot buffet, some items were overcooked, but there was lots to commend. We couldn 't manage the dessert buffet! The breakfast buffet has changed over the years. I couldn 't find eggs or the fresh and dried fruits that used to be a feature, but we didn 't go short and had more than enough to eat.

Nous y avons dîné 2 soirs de suite avec des amis. C'était parfait, copieux, bon, service impeccable et toute l équipe très sympathique ......l'environnement est très calme à 5 minutes à pieds du magnifique parc de la Bretonnière.......Le petit plus : c'est à 1 minute à pieds du 1ère classe.Je recommande sans hésitation

Very good stay at the Campanile hotel. The staff is pleasant and welcoming. The breakfast is generous and good. The restaurant is very good and it is enjoyable to eat homemade dishes and desserts.

We only ended up eating there because it was the only we could find in the area open on a Wednesday evening. I had the hot buffet my friend had a burger. All of my veg was overcooked. On any other evening better food is available in the area within the same price range.
