Wabisabi Teppan Steak House Sushi

Wabi Sabi has been a family favorite for years, and despite the new location in Eastvale, we still prefer this one. We were fortunate to get a booth without any wait, although I do enjoy watching the chefs in action. The restaurant has the classic Japanese theme, featuring a Teppanyaki area and a sushi bar, with booths in between. On this visit, the food was excellent—both the chicken and steak were cooked perfectly, and the calamari was delicious as well. The staff was wonderful: friendly and very attentive, which explains why the place was quite busy even on a Monday night. To top it off, the sushi chef treated us to a little surprise, even though we didn’t order sushi this time.

The restaurant has a bit of a worn-out appearance, but the service and food were quite good.

This was our first and last visit to this restaurant! I ordered a glass of wine that was listed on the menu, but they didn’t have it. My husband also ordered a beer that was on the menu, and they were out of that as well. The chef managed to finish cooking all the dinners in just 10 minutes, but the results were disappointing. The grilled vegetables were raw, the rice was barely warm and undercooked, and the scallops I ordered had a strong fishy taste. The service was absolutely terrible—our server (if you can even call her that) was rude, inattentive, and very disrespectful towards her manager. Save your time and money—go somewhere else!

Today is my wife's Birthday and our family of 5 decided to go here at Wabi Sabi for dinner! We were in the front of the line waiting for them to open at 5 pm. We entered and was seated at a grill and waited for the chef to come with his cart and put on a cooking show which was pretty good! The food was placed on our plates and we ate until we were stuffed! We also ordered 3 different sushi rolls and my wife wanted a soft shell crab for an appetizer! The place looked clean and a lot of bamboo looking walls! Plenty of people working keeping everyone happy!

My Husband I stopped by this location and was waiting to sit but as we sat down in the waiting area we viewed how dirty the waiting area was. We decided to leave but not before taking a few pictures. If the waiting area is this way I can only imagine how the kitchen and dining area may be. I hope they will correct this as there have to be more customers that walked out because of the plants in the waiting area that is full of dust hair!! and the floor and chairs were dirty as well.
