Honu's On The Beach - Kailua-Kona

Honu's is situated at the top of the pier at King Kamehameha's Hotel Courtyard Marriott, offering a fantastic view. The restaurant provides three hours of parking validation. I ordered the Wild Seared Ahi with a Maki roll for my main course, and it was both delicious and quite large, priced at $28. The Wedge Salad, which was also substantial at $10, came with a feta dressing and tempura-style avocado—an unexpected and delightful addition considering I was on a diet. The kids' meals are incredibly affordable, ranging from $4 to $6, and my children enjoyed the house pasta, which smelled wonderful. For dessert, we shared the lava cake, which was excellent as well. The service was attentive and friendly. I will definitely return!

The Seafood and Prime Rib Buffet is an absolute must-try! For just $34.95 on Friday and Saturday nights, you get an incredible selection of seafood and prime rib. The buffet offers everything from sushi and shrimp to clam chowder and unlimited crab. The dessert selection is also impressive. We found this to be the best dining value on the Big Island. Plus, if you're staying at King Kam, you can enjoy a 20% discount!

Honu's is undoubtedly my favorite restaurant in Kona. The service is outstanding, and the breakfast buffet is both fresh and delicious, offering a wide variety of options. Located in The King Kamehameha Marriott Hotel, the restaurant boasts a stunning view of the beach. During my most recent visit, I enjoyed a seafood buffet that included everything you could think of—crab legs, shrimp, sushi, and shellfish. I highly recommend Honu's!
