Had a really bad experience today with the cashier Christian and it was really upsetting. He didn’t say hello, he just started scanning and asked if I needed a bag. Didn’t say the total and when I pulled my cash out he snatched it out of my hand. When he went to give me the change, he threw it in my hand. I was so appalled and what annoyed me even more was the fact that my mom clearly noticed it too. I’m giving three stars because the supervisor Janelle was nice over the phone. She swore that “Christian was a really nice person.” Either way it was such a nasty experience and it was quite obviously noticeable the way he treated me. Maybe it’s because I’m black. Idk.

Great vegan and non-dairy options that taste amazing! Staff is helpful and readily available for questions. A good choice for an after workout meal or checking off your grocery list.

I used to love this store, but after what happened, I'm not sure if I'll return. My parents often shop for groceries and water at the DTE Kailua, and my dad usually picks up water from this location since it’s close to our home. We always pay for our produce, but he was wrongly accused of stealing water. I'm really disappointed with how the situation was handled, and I'm grateful my mom was there to stand up for him. My dad is such a kind person; he would never do anything like that. I'm feeling let down by DTE. I have plenty of frustrations to share, but I don't want to because I know some good people who work there; not everyone is to blame.
