Windward - Kailua

This restaurant is located on the street and offers a great happy hour deal every day of the week. The prices for the happy hour special cannot be beat, with $12 getting you a draft beer and a burger, tacos, or pulled pork, depending on the day (my personal favorite is the pulled pork). They have a fantastic selection of local draft beers and a dog-friendly patio. The staff is also very friendly. This is our go-to spot for happy hour in Kailua.

I am happy to report that this restaurant has finally reopened, but only for outdoor seating at the moment. They have a wide range of beers and a diverse menu to choose from. I highly recommend trying the nachos - the portion size is huge and they are incredibly tasty! They also have a decent happy hour from Monday to Friday from 4pm to 6pm, with $1 off beer and wine and $2 off their bar bites.

This restaurant is a fantastic place to stop for a casual meal. There is ample free parking and you can easily pick up a snack in the store if you're in need. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and it's convenient to bring in a baby stroller. Additionally, they have TVs so you can watch sports events while you dine.

This bar is a good street location and has an excellent Happy Hour Special every day of the week. You can not beat the Happy Hour special prices, $12 for a design beer and burger/tacos/powder pig etc. depending on the day, the pulled pig is my favorite. Excellent design of selection of local beers. Dog-friendly Lanai. The staff is also very friendly. Our favorite place for Happy Hour in Kailua.

I've tried all the donors of the alleged Mexican cuisine in Kailua over the last month, I know, call me crazy and a wishful thinker, but as I thought that all hope here is lost hands down the winner, and not even labeled as such (Mexicans). The bar at Whole Foods, value and quality beats everything else away! Kalua Tacos, 11 bucks. Cilantro, cabbage and red onions, Guac salsa, Jalapeños and a generous potion of shredded smokey Kalua pig! On a soft, fresh, real corstortilla. Okay?
