Restaurant＆bar Panch - Kakuda-shi

Great food and friendly staff! The chef and one waitress also speak English, making it easy to communicate and interact with the locals. Located just meters away from the Guesthouse in Kakuda city, which is also owned by the same people, this restaurant is a must-visit for travelers in Japan looking to experience a genuine small town atmosphere. I felt incredibly welcomed and a part of the community here. The dishes are made with fresh ingredients and the chef clearly knows his craft.

To start off, the restaurant offers a selection of local beer, locally-sourced vegetables, and elegantly prepared sashimi and tataki dishes. The tea is also pickled with rice made from locally-grown plums. This dining experience was truly unique.
