Trahairs Delicatessen - Kalgoorlie

Trahairs has been a staple in Kalgoorlie since World War II, offering all the favorite dishes. The friendly staff and alfresco seating in the front make for a pleasant dining experience.

This is the best cake we've had in the last 3 months of traveling in Australia. The menu has a good selection of mainly cakes, which is exactly what we were looking for. The cakes are big with a lot of filling, not soft and soggy. They are beautiful, firm, and paired perfectly with great coffee. However, be sure to arrive early as they close once they run out.

Large small bakery/pie shop on the most reasonable expensive cakes that are delicious. you have to get in early before they sell out

I grew up in Kalgoorlie and this pastry shop was always the best to buy from as the food is always fresh and tasty. I have been away from Kalgoorlie for a period of 20 years and thought that I would give it a try...again. To my surprise they had changed location and owners but the quality of the product was still the same if not better than before. The pastry is crispy and flaky and the ingredients are the best quality, they not only do the pastries but they also do the best cakes with the old fashioned fresh cream. I make sure that I find the shop and buy whenever I get the chance when visiting Kalgoorlie. The cost may be a bit more but it is well and truly worth the trek to this little shop. There is seating outside of the shop if you would just like to buy and eat, I like to do this and watch the traffic and people go by.
