Kalky's - Kalkbaai iNingizimu Afrika

What a wonderful experience dinning out at Kalky's! We didn't just go there once we returned at least 6 times, on a 10 day holiday. The portion sizes are fantastic the food quality taste is out of this world the service is excellent! Just dont expect much in terms of decor and style...but if you want a true Cape Town experience...then this is definitely the place to go!! It is clean, and the atmosphere is warm and charming. You feel right at home, the minute you walk in! You place your food order at the counter – and once it has been prepared, a waitress brings it to your table. The service is really fast and very efficient! The food comes out on a platter, and you collect your own plates, plastic knives forks, and serviettes from the front of the restaurant before you eat. There are paper cups for those who drink a cooldrink – and wine glasses, for a lovely selection of local wines. We were mostly served by Gadija – who is an absolute treat!! True Cape Town local character – in her sayings antics…we loved her conversations and quirky humor! I would highly recommend Kalky’s to any traveler – as it is such an awesome experience…a definite MUST stop when visiting Cape Town!!

Friendly staff great food at fantastic value. I would recommend the kalkys platter. Great atmosphere and enjoyed the meal. Will definately be going back for more.

This is the place my mom and I visited regularly. We had wonderful chats, lots of laughter. I return with my husband just to cherish the good food and good memories. My mom loved this place

Unsure at first approach but what a fantastic meal. Our waitress was fun and entertaining. Really good fish and chips .....that's the review from my Uncle from the U.K.
