Mount Xanadu - Kalpatta

The resort is amazing, located in an excellent location. The food is heavenly and the icing on the cake is the courteous and well-trained staff. Overall, a 10-star experience. I can't wait to visit again next year.

This hotel is absolutely stunning, with fantastic staff, beautiful grounds, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. As British guests, we found this hotel online and booking was simple. The location is on a hill, so be prepared for that when booking. They offer half board, which means you can choose to dine out, but may need transportation if you're not a hiker. There are plenty of activities to do here, such as hiking, relaxing, and going on excursions. The food is amazing and beautifully presented, kudos to the chef and their team. They are currently constructing glamping units with a fantastic view of the valley and reservoirs, just like the other rooms. They are also innovative in offering cave accommodations. Truly awe-inspiring! We enjoyed complimentary afternoon tea on the terrace with breathtaking views. We were treated like royalty at this small, intimate hotel, which made our stay very special. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

I am from Seattle, USA and was in Wayanad/Coorg for a week. My plan was to stay in the top 5-star restaurants in Coorg and Wayanad to relax on my trip. However, on my first day arriving in kozhikode, I was unable to get accommodation in any of those 5-star hotels and ended up staying at Xanadu for a day. Surprisingly, my stay at Mount Xanadu was the best stay of my whole vacation. They were much better than the so-called best 5-star hotels around Vythiri and Padinjarathara. The resort has just 14 rooms, each spacious and with awesome views. I was greeted by Abhirami at the front desk, who gave me a tour of the resort. The best part was the personalized phone calls for reminders and the infinity pool, where I could relax and enjoy the views all day long. The evening dinner was amazing with excellently flavored Kerala food. Special mention to the small onion spicy curry which was out of this world. The evening campfire was a great way to hang out with other guests. The next day, the breakfast was rich in flavors and I particularly enjoyed the masala omelet made by sous chef Anoop. The general manager, Thomas, was very polite and receptive to feedback. Overall, even though it's a 4-star resort, Mount Xanadu offers everything better than a 5-star resort at a more affordable price. I look forward to returning and trying out more upcoming resorts like Mount Xanadu in the future. Special thanks to manager Abhirami for her exceptional hospitality. Best hill top resort that we can have incredible nature look and the staffs hospitality was very much impressed and the one of cleanly maintained…whoever goes for a wayanad staycation i will definitely suggest this resort.
