A&W Restaurant - Kamloops

The service at this restaurant was terrible. We had to wait in line to order, but the staff seemed more interested in stocking straws than helping customers. The lady who took our order was very rude and impatient. The food was also burnt.

Paulette provided exceptional service by accurately taking our detailed orders and ensuring our dining experience was excellent. She should be commended for her outstanding performance and deservedly receive a raise.

Stopped for burgers. No fryer so no chips no problem. Was a bit put out when a staff member brought Timmies into the store and sat down to eat. Most of the staff indulged as well not a good look overall. I guess if a family came in they could bring whatever fast food they liked in.

I feel like it’s less of an eating experience than a fly swatting experience in there. I counted at least 7 on the windows, along with some buzzing onto the wrapper of my food (luckily not on anything). Saw a fly land on their brew bar machine as well so who knows if any have entered anywhere to decay. Either grab food to-go, go through the drive thru, or just save your stomach and go to Tim Hortons next door.

In the past this location has been questionable sometimes but today the food was fast, exactly what we expected and satisfying. Brody makes his job his own and improves the customer experience, management take note of this young man and design your staff of all levels upon him. The only thing I would note is maybe a little more in the way of cleaning, you can't be everywhere at once but the dead bugs laying about can be removed at least.
