Bidra med feedbackAll you can eat meat special $38. Can't go wrong since it included the unlimited fountain drinks and the one scoop ice cream. Great choices of meat and apps. The karaage chicken was a favorite as the included appetizer choice. Another fave is the Ichiriki salad and tofu salad. Rice is included but I preferred eating the Ichiriki salad with the short ribs minus the croutons. Sake sampler at $12 was the perfect compliment to my meal. Service can be slow if restaurant is full as to be expected. We had to remind our server on a few things but it was no biggie. Enjoy!
So glad my favorite hot pot place is located in my hood. And what's great about this particular location is that on this particular visit, we walked in on a spur of the moment without a reservation and got seated right away. The happy hour menu is the best deal ever $20 for niku nabe, $5 for chicken karaage (which my son loves , and $5.50 for the melona shochu which is tastes like spiked ice cream (YUM! . Service is fantastic very accommodating and quick.
Come during HH, otherwise too expensive in my opinion. They have late night HH, which starts at 9pm. That 's when we went. And we asked to sit at one of the low tables, where you basically sit on the ground and there 's space under the table for your legs to drop lower. I think it 's traditional to remove your shoes, which felt kinda weird to do in a restaurant. Anyway, we split the $20 beef soup HH deal. It would not have been enough for two people if we hadn 't already stuffed ourselves with a bunch of beer right before going (hence the too expensive if we were starving, it would 've been $20 per person without drinks before tax and tip during HH insane). Everything 's expensive in Oahu, though, or so I 'm told. Regardless, it was really good! Cool experience to cook for yourself at the table.
2/27/18.....Came to this Ichiriki for dinner. This review is not about the food or about the service we received that night, but more about the follow through. If you've read my reviews in the past, they deal with Customer Service. I have been in Customer Service for the majority of my career so I feel that I have a pretty good grasp on what is good vs bad service. As part of your meal, Ichiriki will solicit feedback from you at the end of your meal with a survey card. It's not long and not hard to fill out. So with tonight's service I had an issue and made it known on the feedback card. Ichiriki gets 5 stars for response time. I received an email response within 5hrs of our meal from Cara apologizing for what transpired. Now that is customer service. No where else have I received a response to my comments and for that, they get 5 stars. The email stated that I should call her personally the next time, but I probably won't. It's not that I won't go back, because I surely will. It's more because I don't want to get preferential treatment, but more that I want them to know that there was an issue and that they should improve service overall to all future customers and not just me. With such timely response from this manager, I know that there will be improvements to their service and what I stated in the feedback card. And BTW, the food speaks for itself. Fresh and tasty.
This is a great place for family, friends or date night. The food is healthy and fresh and the cocktails were delicious. I had the shochu lychee cocktail which was perfectly balanced and refreshing. My Swedish girlfriend had never had such food before and we were pleasantly stuffed with the poke and avocado Ahi salad as appetizer and the beef combo with udon. For larger parties there are tea room style rooms with tatami floors. A great value for the quality, quantity and taste.
