Fantastic coffee. Top food. Great service. The coffee is some of the best around town and the food is always fresh and tasty. And the staff are always welcoming and provide great service.

Yesterday we enjoyed a quick bite during a business trip. Great value food. A ham cheese tomato toasted sandwich $6.50 they do all sorts of fab fresh food. Excellent coffee. Not our first visit certainly won't be our last.

I never understand how a cafe can employ somebody to come to the table to let you know that it is counter service, just take my order while your here.... nice food though, bacon and poached eggs cooked perfectly. One last gripe, yes I do want cracked pepper, so why not just put one on every table, instead of carrying the only one in the cafe around with you, they cost $5 at Kmart

My girlfriend and I went for brunch on Australia Day after a walk along the River. We did not have coffee as we had previously had one before our walk. The food behind the counter looked fresh and yummy and the menu had a good selection for brunch. There was a dirty table out in the courtyard and the waitress offered to clean it for us however this never occurred. We were not offered water, although I saw bottles on other tables. I ordered the Chilli eggs. There was a minute amount of fresh chilli cut up on top of my scrambles eggs. These were suppose to have parmesan in the eggs, which should have added some saltyness, however is tasted like there was no seasoning what so ever. I doubt the eggs were free range as they would have contained some flavour. The only saving grace was that my girlfriend ordered a side of haloumi that I ended up sharing to add something to my meal. The rest of my girlfriends meal was down the same lines of mine. The sweet potato cakes tasted like a mouthful of flour. She has to ask for some relish to make the taste and give flavour to her eggs and mushrooms. Consider what we paid, and the extra 15% for a public holidays (which I doubt the staff ever got to see), it was the worst breakfast I have ever had in Brisbane. We were never asked how our meal was at any stage and were simply ushered out the door so the café could close at midday.

We eat here regularly because it's local and convenient. Aircon inside is icy- too cold. Good area out the back with no aircon but very effective fans. Service is good and always friendly. Very rare to see and male staff. Coffee is good and is always serviced with a tasty small biscuit. Food is ok. Hit and miss. Hollandaise sauce on Benedict is from a tube- not made in house. Eggs on toast is nothing more- last time arrived with not even a garnish. Serving sizes vary- from sparse to massive - for the same item on different days. Different chef?Overall an average cafe for breakfast- not a special occasion venue.
