The Landing at Dockside

I recently performed a wedding ceremony here. lovely view, however the chairs for the guests were set up so that all of the guests were looking directly into the sun. The staff were fantastic, and made sure that I had everything I needed.

It was not a sit down event but a wide variety of finger foods were served throughout the evening. It was very pleasant and staff were accomodative and attentive. I really rate this between average and very good. For such a function I would have anticipated a little more flair.

We live in the Brisbane area; however had a function in the city, we stayed in a one bed apartment in this building for a very reasonable price. reception/check in was pretty smooth and painless, the room was dated but clean and tidy, the views were great, across the river. Funny thing is you only get one breakfast with the room, you have to buy the other breakfast.Parking is across the road in a public car park, which you get cheaper, get your bags out of the car before you park.

I recently attended a work function at The Landing at Dockside. Firstly, it is in a nice area, backing onto the river. It was also easy to get to by car.The area in which the function was held was a good size for the 50ish people in attendance, with the venue also supplying sound equipment, projector screens, and a good size bar with plenty of staff working.My favourite part of the evening was the food. For entre I opted for lamb, with chicken for main. These meals were of the highest quality and not one person complained about anything they were served. Dessert consisted of platters of items such as Turkish delight, French macaroons, and slices. Each were delicious, in particular the macaroons.Staff working that night were very professional and the food was served in a timely manner. They were also attentive to any spills on the dance floor. Very much an ideal venue for any function, including weddings.

Roots offers good fine wines and a great selection of beers, with a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
