Mission Taco Joint South Plaza

My husband and I went to this restaurant on a Saturday night while I was car shopping, so it was a special treat. We were so pleased that we decided to eat here because everything was wonderful – the service, the food, and the ambiance. I chose a plant-based burrito and my husband had tacos. We definitely plan to come back again. (Review updated on September 23, 2021)

Mission Taco Joint offers a wide selection of delicious tacos and amazing margaritas. For those feeling adventurous, I recommend trying the duck taco. My personal favorite is the hot chicken taco, but if you prefer something spicy, the Tough Love taco is a great choice. The only downside for me is the chips and salsa. I'm not a fan of the chip texture or salsa flavor, but at least they are not complimentary. Overall, I would give Mission Taco Joint a 4-star review.

Review of "Brah-ito": This place is quite noisy, with tables a bit close together, but still has a cozy feel. The tables are made of a nice bright wood, which I personally like. The burrito I had, with tender pulled pork and melted cheese, was amazing. Everything was well blended and delicious. I would give it a 10/10. The service was also excellent, with the waitress checking on us regularly, which I really appreciated. She was very friendly and brought a positive energy. I loved the attitude of the staff!

I had a good time at this restaurant. It is a bit on the expensive side for a street taco place. The Smuggler Blues margarita was delicious. The interior is great and it is a cool spot to hang out with friends. The tacos were decent but not the best I have ever had. The steak was a bit disappointing. The sauces that were added really elevated the tacos and made them better than average.

Their tacos are incredible. Margaritas are great! Do yourself a favor and get a mezcal marg and a BLT taco. I recommend trying 3 different ones. Two is enough but 3 will definitely fill you up. Tacos are around 3.50 which is an amazing deal.
