Taps And Hops Eatery - Kapaa

We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant, and the food was delicious. We visited during Happy Hour, which runs from 12 to 3 PM. Our server, Tavina, was friendly and attentive. Most of the items we ordered were priced at $6 or lower, except for the sliders, which were $9, and the margarita, which was $12.

We had a delightful surprise during our visit! My wife was in the mood for vegan food, while John and I were craving something more meaty. We parked at Papaya's and headed over to Taps to place our orders. While there, I asked the server for some vegan recommendations, and she suggested the salad, cold tofu, and veggie skewers. The skewers were particularly impressive! John went with the TK-Burger and loved it, while I tried the Loko-Moco, which was a great choice. The restaurant was quite calm at 1 PM, with a relaxed atmosphere and only about 30% of the tables filled on a Tuesday. They offered a happy hour menu, but we opted for the regular selections instead. Overall, a very enjoyable experience!

The restaurant offers intriguing Asian-inspired dishes available in various portion sizes (like Bar Bites versus full plates). They have a wonderful selection of local beers, and the staff is friendly. The seating is moderately comfortable.

What an incredible place, absolutely delicious food with a monumental beer list. The garlic soya roasted chicken is TO THE FOR!!! Honestly all we had was delicious, you must have the Kauai Beef Sliders, the Kualoa Pork Bao, and the Mandoo as well as the garlic soup fried chicken! Finish everything with bread pudding, you won't regret it! The team here is wonderful and had solid recommendations.

Rodger and the staff were amazing hosts. We had some time to kill before our accommodations were ready so we pulled up the bar. We ended up there a few nights as we really couldn’t find a more warm and friendly crew. The food was amazing, the beer was ice cold. It’s a great place to run elbows with the locals. 10/10
