Spanischer Mädelsabend im Casa Manolo. Geheimtipp? Jetzt wohl nicht mehr... Dieses eher unscheinbar wirkende Lokal ist mein neuer alter absoluter Favorit. Wer jedoch mehr auf "Chichi", Designer-Möbel und Szenelokale steht, der ist hier fehl am Platz! Hier erlebt man ein kleines Stück authentisches Spanien am Rande der Kasseler Innenstadt. Ich glaube, mein letzter Besuch war in den 1990er Jahren und die Einrichtung scheint immer noch die gleiche zu sein. Kein Retro-Stil, kein Vintage - das ist echt! Wer sich also nicht vom morbiden Charme der Möbel abschrecken lässt, kann hier die echte spanische Küche kennenlernen. Interessanterweise gehen hier viele Spanier essen, das war schon immer so. Parkplätze gibt es gegenüber der Universität. An einem Dienstagabend war das Lokal überraschend gut besucht und von den Nachbartischen hörte man nur spanische Klänge. Herrlich, ich liebe diese Sprache! Mein Kopf schaltet automatisch in den Urlaubsmodus... Wir bestellten verschiedene Vorspeisen, von Oliven bis Gambas, und als Gruß aus der Küche gab es frisches Weißbrot mit Dip. Einige wählten als Hauptgericht Fisch, Calamares oder Steak; meine Freundin (bekannt als das Burgfräulein bei aufmerksamen Lesern) entschied sich überraschend für ein Jägerschnitzel.... und ich wählte Chuletas de Cordero mit Patatas Bravas. (Lammkotelett mit spanischen Kartoffeln) Köstlich! Dazu gab es einen Beilagensalat. Die Speisen waren perfekt gewürzt und die Kartoffeln nach spanischer Art waren einfach köstlich authentisch! Was das Burgfräulein dazu bewogen hat, bleibt wohl ein Geheimnis... Mit Stößen unter dem Tisch bekam die Hofnärrin einen imaginären Maulkorb verpasst. Was lernen wir daraus? Fazit des Abends: Auch der Spanier kann Jägerschnitzel machen... Oder anders gesagt: wer unbedingt ein Schnitzel will, bekommt es hier serviert. Man sollte Zeit mitbringen, die Spanier servieren eher entspannt; Guten Appetit, buen apetito! Tipp: Wer donnerstags Lust auf Spanisches hat, dem empfehle ich das Fischmenü! 3 Gänge (Fischsuppe, Fischspieß und Fischplatte vom Grill) immer donnerstags für nur 17,50€, ein unschlagbarer Preis!

But whoever stands more and more on “Chichi”, designer furniture and scenes is totally wrong here! Here lives a small piece of original Spain, on the edge of downtown Kassel. I think my last visit should have been in the 90s, and I think the facility should be the same. Nix Retro Styl, nix Vintage – this is real! If you don't get rid of the morbid furniture arm, you can get to know the real Spanish cuisine. Interestingly, many Spaniards will eat here. There is a parking lot opposite the university. For a Tuesday night it was amazingly well filled and I only heard Spanish sounds from the neighboring tables. Wonderfully I like this language! My head then automatically switches on the holiday mode... We ordered various appetizers, from olives to Gambas and as a greeting from the kitchen came fresh white bread with dip. Some chose fish as main food, or Calamares or Steak; my special friend (notable GG readers known as Burgfräulein decided to marvel all hunters.... and I Chuletas de Cordero with Patatas Bravas. (Lammkotelette with Spanish potatoes Delicious! There was an extra salad. The dishes were perfectly seasoned and these potatoes were Spanish, simply super delicious Spanish authentic! What the Burgfräulein has moved to its choice – you don't know.... With tits under the table, the nurse of the farm was missed an imaginary mole. What do we learn from it? Conclusion of the evening: the Spaniard can also... Or, in other words, if you don't want to give up, you want or can - it is served here. Bringing time, the Spaniard serves rather left; good appetite bob apetito!
