Helena's Kitchen - Kathmandu

The rooftop bar is lovely and provides great views of Kathmandu, but be careful about the drink you order. I had what was probably the worst cocktail I think I've ever had. Stick to beer!

Used to be a great place to hang out and eat good food. Now it's just a long long long flight of stairs for okay food and okay ambience. The view from the top is of Thamel and Kathmandu, but it's not worth climbing all those steps. I do like their breakfast but I still wouldn't wanna climb those steps.

Great to be back after 10 years, unfortunately for the restaurant, buildings surrounding it are growing taller. We wanted to have some cake, but unfortunately they were out at 14:00 and the masala tea we got was a bit disappointing. Staff was excellent, and perhaps we will come back for dinner soon

The only reason i give it one star is because the rooftop is beautiful. Otherwise, the food was overwhelmingly spicy even though we asked for specifically nonspicy! And the staff was not receptive to that feedback at all, even though we ate the food and paid : then told them!

Great restaurant. An ingenious menu and fantastic staff. The best apple cake in Kathmandu.
