Blackburn's Katoomba Family Hotel

Despite some negative reviews, we decided to give this restaurant a try for a casual dining experience. We were pleasantly surprised as the food was decent for the price and the bistro had a cozy family-friendly vibe. While it may not be the most gourmet option, if you're looking for a laid-back and cheerful atmosphere, this bistro is a solid choice.

We went to Katoomba for a nostalgic visit and lunch. The main roads were full of trendy cafes that spilled on the footpaths. We drove around looking for a real pub and found him! A walk into the Family Hotel was like a...-trip back into time – old tiles, carpet and furniture. The food and service were excellent, the atmosphere, quiet and covered. Many parking spaces on the back of the street. Also near the station. Worth the trip.

We visited 2 children in April. Great customer service, raising additional inquiries and eating was great. Up and beyond the staff.

The staff provided excellent service and the food was phenomenal! We ordered the steak and pig carving, which were absolutely amazing, and the chili cheese bread we got for our duck was the best I've ever had. Our male waiter was very courteous and fast, providing excellent and efficient service. The newly renovated restaurant looks great as well. I would definitely recommend this place.

My family and I were here and were very disappointed. The lamb cuts were unusable. My meal was ordered with chips and salad and no sauce and came with potatoes, vegetables and sauce. When the meal came with chips and salad, it also had sauce, so it went back to the kitchen. For the third time, luck! A meal was forgotten and so a good deal came later than the other 5 meals. This restaurant did not take Dine Discover vouchers.
