Bidra med feedbackWhile staying at the beautiful mountain heritage hotel, we have eaten twice dinner in the restaurant, breakfast and ordered room service and can confidently say the quality of the food and service was excellent! I cannot recommend this place enough! nothing was too much annoyed for...the beautiful coworkers who recommended a beautiful local giant to go with the quail, and my rare steak with cord was so good I almost cried. Do you like one!
I think there's a new chef who has a great start. fine eating and delicious 3 courses filled our taste buds along with some well-paired local weeps. our waiter alex has made with his interest and know about eating and great service a beautiful evening
Visited the yulefest celebration in the jamisons restaurant in the bergerbe in katoomba and came very disappointed. this was a last minute booking when my original target was closed due to a slip, and this was the only one that was available on the date. now. I know when I booked that it was a devastation menu that is when I received my confirmation that they could pay attention to special nutritional needs and I return them email, they never answered again. if you love food you would probably love the 5 courses that were served, but unfortunately there was nothing about what Christmas has suggested. there were a few decorations around the restaurant and a bon bon on the table, the Christmas man wondered how he rang a bell and looked to throw some sucking on the tables where there were children, but otherwise no interaction at all. most of the employees did not seem interested to be there, and one of the waiting employees actually asked us at 3 locations where we were waiting? as if she thought we should have gone. easy answer was that we were still waiting for the next course and at $145 we were not early just to please them. accused that the living pianist would play in the night. he played for about 10 to 15mins, then after a dae a harp and violinist played for about 15mins, which went for a break and came back. all above played only the strange Christmas mood or carol, then mostly music by thier choice. frankly, we asked ourselves where the yulefest or christmas was actually in the Juli-Feier!
We have dimmed here several times over several years, and there was a reason why we come back. great service, excellent food and wonderful service. all gone! I booked a weekend in the blue mountains, just before covid met us in 2020. While I could still travel there, I decided to wait until I could dine in this restaurant. when they opened, I waited one because and finally took the fall. I have booked the restaurant 3 months for a dinner of 7 o'clock. the thought of spending some time over ordering, enjoying a beautiful wein while waiting for our entree and enjoy the company quite a lot flew out of the window. When we were set, they wanted to order our drinks. we had to ask the waiter to come back after we looked at the weeping list he did, but at the same time wanted our food order. Go on. entered 7pm, after a tacky bread roll (with a bag butter. What happened to the curls? a tasty enough ravioli escape, a dry crispy skinned salmon bowl with minimal sauce, we waited for dessert. 45 minutes! instead of staying in this unscanny atmosphere (maybe 6 other tables we decided to go into the lounge where we had enjoyed a license by the fire with a pianist in the background in previous places. no pianist and no places near the fire because of a couple. not so young. who could not keep their tongues out of the others. it made it uncomfortable to go (and we arent exactly prudes! so decided to go back to our beautiful accommodation in parklands in blackheath to enjoy a night capsule. the breakfast service in parklands at brekky had individual butter plates. no mustache! my advice, don't do it!
Not sure where to start. We booked for the restaurant at 8 pm, admittedly we arrived a tad early and were turned away from the restaurant, so we went upstairs to the bar. The girl there was very nice. At 8pm we ventured back downstairs...to the restaurant where we were directed to a table in an adjoining room, away from the main dining room. From the moment we sat down we were asked to order, fortunately I had looked at the menu beforehand. We ordered a bottle of wine and our meal. The entree took a while, however, we were not perturbed. My husband finished his entree before me, and I was still eating my entree and we were told by the waiter that our mains were ready and would we like them? Arrrhh, well I’m still eating my entree, not yet we reply! Upon finishing the entree, the mains arrived immediately. We had ordered the beef fillet and Sous vide chicken supreme. My husbands beef was good but the chicken supreme was awful, dry, overcooked and no taste. So very disappointed!!!! Anyway, moving on and it’s like 9:04pm we are told the kitchen is closing do you want to order a desert? Well I’ve only just finished my meal for goodness sake!!! Hubby has a coffee, we paid and left at 9:31pm. Disgusted with how rushed we were, and the quality of the meal, which cost around $190:00. The night prior to this we went to Echoes restaurant, where the meal was absolutely exquisite, the staff were so attentive, we were seated in the actual restaurant and the food was amazing and we w not rushed or made to feel uncomfortable at all. Whilst there was a degree of politeness, it just didn’t cut it for a fine dining restaurant. Please, please, do not eat at this restaurant you will only be disappointed. On a positive, the foyer, entry, bar, gardens and approach to this place is amazingly welcoming, but this is a deception to the restaurant, the meal and the service. I would not dine here again or recommend it, even the local taxi driver told us he could have recommended better places.
