Bidra med feedbackAt 630PM the doors were locked and no signs stating the lobby was closed for service. Only the drive through was open and operational. Since we walked to the Dairy Queen on Lockhaven in Keizer we weren't able to dine in or order food. I called butwas met with a automated service requiring a pass code. Way to operate a business. Four cars pulled on while I tried calling. Ofcourse they all left but did not go to the drive through.
This place has days where it's a five star but on average I give it three stars but that's mostly for consistency. I go here alot, it is by my house and I have kids who love treats. I never realized how extensive DQS menu was until we moved near it butwow they have a ton of really fun treat and drink options. During the day I think management staff is there and so if you wantfive star service go before 3pm and you'll get exactly what you ordered. After 3pm however, they have a younger staff, probablyhigh school students which is great cuz the kids gotta start somewhere but you can tell things can get a bit rough in evenings.I do think though that this little store gets hit hard, long lines and I know they do their best but if you have favorite itemsbeware it can vary a great deal depending on if you go in day time versus night time. Overall though this is fast food and theirnew burgers are pretty frieking great and who doesn't love a blizzard. Definitely clean and we'll run store, it just gets verybusy.
This Dairy Queen was much better under the previous owners in terms of quality and service. The drive-thru was slow, and this is the second time I requested a Blizzard and paid extra for additional candy, only to receive mostly ice cream with hardly any candy sprinkled on top.
The total seemed unusually high, so I checked the receipt and realized he had misunderstood my order. When I brought this up, he insisted he had made no mistake. I explained the situation again, but he became argumentative, so I decided to go inside to discuss it further. I showed another employee the receipt and explained that there had been a simple error in my order, and I requested a refund for the overcharge. He took my receipt and walked to the back but returned only to hand me my bags without addressing the overcharge. Moreover, we were still missing our drinks. I pointed this out, and he had another employee retrieve them for us. Unfortunately, he provided two medium drinks instead of the large and medium I had ordered. At this point, I was so frustrated that I just wanted to leave, not caring about the money anymore. However, when I checked the bags, I found that there was no sauce included. I could understand if this were an isolated incident, as I know the staff is young and I’ve worked in fast food myself. But this has become a recurring issue: multiple items are forgotten, the staff are often rude, and they never apologize for their mistakes. Management really needs to improve the training or hire better employees. To make matters worse, the food from our last visit made us extremely sick. I don’t plan on returning.
I ordered the large rotisserie basket ($12.47) with a side salad, but what I received was disappointing. There were only 8 small pieces of chicken, 2 pieces of bread, and about 10 pieces of lettuce, some of which seemed rotten. This is hardly what I would call a salad! Additionally, there were no fries included in my order. Overall, it was expensive and definitely not worth the money.
