Maki Sushi - Kelowna

My all time favourite place to eat in Kelowna. The team is super friendly and accommodating to dietary needs. Super delicious food and consistent in quality. Nothing but good things to say!

Maki Sushi is hands down the best sushi I've ever eaten. They are the kindest people, family owned and operated and have been serving delicious and consistent food since I started going there 14+ years ago.The sushi is expertly crafted, from the perfect flavors to the generous amount of filling to rice ratio of the rolls. The fantasy, dancing eel, and BBQ special rolls are must tries and you do not want to miss the chicken spring rolls or miso soup. Thanks Maki!

This restaurant suppports animal cruelty. They allowed their customer to dine in their restaurant leaving the customers dog in a hot car for over an hour. After 45 minutes, of monitoring the dog in 30degeee weather I went inside the restaurant to alert the staff and the staff did nothing!!!! they didn 't ask the customer to take their food to go, they didn 't help me locate the owner of the dog and they didn 't call 911 to support the dog. the customers got aggressive with me informing me that their dog was just fine and that they 've been going outside to give it water every 20 minutes which is not true because I was doing it. 35 minutes after the altercation they finally finished their meal and took the dog home. Claiming to be pet loving owners yet did nothing when I brought it to their attention a dog was being left in a hot car while they provided service to the customer. absolutely disgraceful. We all need to do our part in stopping animal cruelty. sitting back and allowing it to happen makes this restaurant just as guilty as the pet owner.

One of the few sushi restaurants still open at 9 on a Tuesday. The Gyozas were super greasy and had a little pile of oil and overcooked in my opinion. The sushi was subpar, maybe being the end of the night the rice wasn't as fresh as could be but the teriyaki beef sushi roll was pretty good.

This Sushi place is my favorite one to go to! Amazing food created with love, and such sweet and kind staff that is always super welcoming! Best Wonton soup in town, that's hand crafted with a hearty broth. Highly recommend to try it amongst the Lama's ebi roll and spicy tuna- but really, everything is delicious here! :
