Carmelita’s Cocina - Kelseyville

Today I went in on fish taco friday, I’ve never had them before and the girl taking my order recommended them and I ordered. Let me just say wow! The customer service was amazing. I was ready to go home and enjoy them as I started my car and pulled out the parking lot I hear a scream saying “stop I forgot your oil salsa!!” I pulled over and the girl who was my server was running all the way from Carmelita’s down to pogos pizza just to give me the oil salsa! No joke check the cam footage , that girl ran like she was a track star??‍ this happened today at 4:50 ish pm! Excellent place to eat at and friendly employees ??

Always takes twice as long as they say it will take for to go food. So 20 mins is actually 40... always... so plan for that.

It was really good food and accommodating. I read previous reviews and disagree with the negative ones. My shrimp Tacos were full of flavor and I like their health conscience choices. Yum.

Fresh fluffy homemade corn tortillas. Need I say more? Wtf is this place not closer to my house. Carnitas tacos with avocado salsa east excellent. If this was close to KT house it would be a three day per week visit. Great food, cute town, finish with ice cream down the street. Stoked

I really want you to succeed Carmelita. But it's not working out. I love the atmosphere and cleanliness. The staff is very pleasant. The food is surprisingly bland, dry, unseasoned and devoid of love. I'd suggest forgoing the fresh handmade tortillas and focus on flavor and delivery. I honestly want you to win but it's not going to happen with the recipes you are currently serving. Fire the chef.
