Bidra med feedbackWe dined at this restaurant on a late Saturday afternoon. The food was typical pub fare, but it was freshly prepared and reasonably priced. They offered a wider selection of craft beers than what is typically found at a Greene King establishment.
GreeneKing pubs have perfected a successful combination of affordable and delicious, yet humble pub food, served alongside reasonably priced drinks. An excellent example of this can be found at The Old Swan, where Antonio, the Italian bartender/server, provided exceptional hospitality that is often missing in other places. I highly recommend trying the fish cakes at this establishment.
Went yesterday for a drink by myself and absolutely loved it. Cute place (took many pictures in the bathroom), great service and delicious drinks and food. I had two drinks and some chicken wings. Angelo and Andy gave me a really good quality service, thank you! Definitely recommend it!
Place near the subway exit. comfortable in position. there is a large selection of beers and the food is very good indeed. we tasted some typical local dishes, proposed by Antonio and Martina who were very welcome. really very nice staff.
Notting Hill Gate £6.60 Estrella A modern Greene King pub in fashionable Notting Hill. . The Old Swan is located just off the busy junction of Notting Hill Gate and Kensington Church Street. Notting Hill Tube is just across the road. . The original Swan Pub in Notting Hill was built in 1855 (last picture) and was demolished in the 1950’s for road widening. The pub was rebuilt in 1962 and for a time went under the moniker of The Rat Parrot but eventually reverted to its original name. . The pub has had a recent refurbishment which has transformed this boozer to a modern and stylish establishment. This is a good size one bar pub which doesn’t look like the usual uniformed @greene_official set up. There is a mixture of leather banquettes, poser tables and regular low level seating. The bar area looked good, dotted around the bar were some neon signs and a few TV’s showing live sport. . The beer selection was good, I had a pint of Estrella and had no complaints except the price tag. The food menu is a combination of pub classics and American influences, fish and chips costs unusually £15.29. . There was a terrific atmosphere here and a good mix of clientele. Around the fruit machine were an old couple trying their luck, a few ladies enjoying a mulled wine plus a few tourists discovering the area. I caught half an hour of the Poland v Saudi Arabia world cup game along with a few other lads albeit on mute. . The @oldswannottinghill is a different proposition from the surrounding pubs in the area. It has an American bar feel to it which makes for a contrasting pub experience, definitely worth a visit. .
