Alaska Fish House - Ketchikan

There was a long wait to place our orders, but it was absolutely worth it. The food arrived quickly at our table, and the fish was incredibly fresh and expertly cooked. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, though I didn't catch her name. The ambiance is fantastic, with a lovely view of the water. If you only have one day in Ketchikan like I did, I would highly recommend making this restaurant your dining choice.

The salmon chowder, blackened halibut fish tacos, and coleslaw are all fantastic! The wine is enjoyable, the service is great, and the view is lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I decided to explore this restaurant on my recent trip, and I'm so glad I did! The chowder and salmon burger were both delicious. After a long day, the mule was just what I needed, and I especially loved the fries they offered. The service was friendly and efficient. It's a fantastic place with stunning views, and I enjoyed watching local fishermen come in for lunch—it’s just a short stroll from the port.

The Alaska Fish House is a home staple to the town of Ketchikan. Fish is fresh and customer service is great. You order first and then seat yourselves in the back where there is plenty of seating for any group size with a view of the water. My team ordered from across the board the sampler, smoked salmon chowder, rice bowl and halibut tacos. While the fish was fresh, I think everyone thought it was lacking. The salmon chowder was pretty bland but appreciated the fresh herbs! Gotta love dill! The tacos had hard cold shells with little fish you're much better off getting fish and chips for the price. If you don't live on the coast and get fresh seafood meals on the regular, you'll prolly rate much higher.

While I appreciate the freshness, I expected a bit more in terms of flavor and creativity, especially given the reputation of the place. Additionally, I found the pricing to be a bit on the higher side for what was offered. While I understand that fresh seafood can come at a premium, I felt that the overall value could have been better. Overall, Alaska Fish House is a decent place to eat, especially if you're looking for fresh seafood and great customer service. However, there's room for improvement in terms of flavor and pricing.
