Kewaunee Custard Grill

I was pleasantly surprised by the drive-thru experience! There’s a QR code on the side of the building that allows you to view the menu before reaching the window. I ordered a medium chocolate waffle cone, and it was quite large! Within five minutes, I found myself covered in ice cream, just like a five-year-old. It was fantastic! Fortunately, my wife opted for a small cone, which was a smart choice.

The food is great, but the management needs improvement. We visited for some custard, and it seemed like the trash hadn't been emptied all weekend. The place was pretty dirty and sticky. Once you promise your kids ice cream, you can't back out, or else we would have chosen a different spot. There were a lot of younger employees around, but very few were assisting customers. At one point, a staff member said, "I just clocked out, so I can't help you." I assume this was during a shift change.

We are regulars at this restaurant for their delicious custard, but we recently decided to visit for a meal on a Saturday. Unfortunately, they were out of bacon, mac 'n' cheese bites, and onions. We waited 45 minutes for our burgers, only to receive the wrong order. The staff seemed to lack experience, to say the least. We also waited an additional 20 minutes for the two missing orders of fries, and when we finally checked on them, we discovered they had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. It was quite disappointing, especially since we had friends with us who had never dined here before.

I stopped by yesterday with my boyfriend and pup. We had a great experience when going through the drive through and the workers were so helpful. We were even able to get a pup cup for my dog which was great. I loved my strawberry shake too.

Wow outstanding. The staff seem like a genuinely lovely group of folks. Root beer float had to be the best I?d had in months and the long line took no time at all. The server was friendly and made me feel welcome. Great place, great people, great custard.
