Mr. Z's -old Town - Key West

If you're in search of great pizza, this is the place to be—it's just like what you'd find in Philly!

This restaurant is the ultimate destination for comfort food in Key West, especially after a night of drinking. If there’s a guiding light that helps the intoxicated find solace in deliciousness, it’s definitely this place. The pepperoni pizza is nothing short of magical—crispy with just the right amount of char and generously topped with greasy pepperoni. I seriously doubt anyone could recreate its unique charm. They stay open extremely late, and there’s usually a line, but trust me, it’s always worth the wait for that lifesaving slice.

However, be aware that the seating is very limited; there are only seven seats available, so you might have to wait outside during busy times. It’s definitely worth it! My wife and I have been visiting Key West for years and make it a point to eat at Mr. Z's three or four times each trip. **Edit (August '23):** Unfortunately, the old crew is gone, and the new staff is nowhere near as friendly, nice, or professional. After dining here 40 to 50 times over the past decade, we’ve decided we won’t be returning.

Had an awesome Philly cheese steak sandwich here! And my son had a sausage pizza which I sampled as well. Super!

Seriously the best Philly cheesesteak sandwich ever. Nice staff! The box fan in the window sending out delicious aromas into the neighborhood is clutch!
