Pepe's Cafe - Key West

We had a great dinner—steak and pork chops were both out of this world, incredibly flavorful. Add in the ambiance of the oldest restaurant in Key West and it was a great evening. Next day, though, we realized we’d left our credit card at the restaurant. After throroughly panicking for a few minutes, we stopped by Pepe’s and they had our card! They required us to show ID before giving it to us (good idea for security reasons). Such nice people and so conscientious. Love this place even more now!

Good welcome but passable and expensive food to avoid

Too many large parties. Very noisy. Servers preoccupied with larger parties, leaving other tables complaining of lack of service and long waits. Didn't really know who our server was, and had to employ the hostess and manager just to get our beverages, which finally came after a request, and our appetizers were done. More well trained servers and better booking of reservations needed.

Good food. We have been hereva number of times. Waiter was inattentive and not knowledgeable of the menu.
