Restaurant Waldrand Pochtenalp

We hiked from the Rotstockhutte via the Sefinenfurgge Pass to the edge of the forest right in front of the village of Griesalp for a great responsibility in front of the Hohturli Pass. The owners are a young couple who is committed to a clean and comfortable accommodation and great food. Although the shower room is divided, it is quite modern with radiant tile floor. Homemade bread, local cheese, scratch soup and salad, and a full honeycomb as part of the breakfast buffet to exhaust your honey. Wow!

We stayed at the hotel and had dinner and a lunch package from the restaurant. The food was great and the service was very friendly and good. If you can't stay at the hotel (which I highly recommend) then you should stop at least...for a bite to eat and a coffee with brandy.

Beautiful nostalgic location in the Bernese Oberland. Nice indoor and outdoor area with good service. A small, very fine menu with wonderful regional ingredients! A real treat from starter to dessert! Super friendly host couple who look after their restaurant and hotel guests with a lot of love.

Super idyllic, very well-kept old and historic hotel, run by a loving and hospitable team. The food in the evening was fantastic, as was the breakfast with fresh plaited bread, a very fine selection of cheese, sausage, fresh fruit and honey straight from the honeycomb. Thank you for this unique experience like in Gotthelf's time!
