Bidra med feedbackShould?ve ordered a burger to see what all the fuss is about. I made a mistake and ordered the Philly cheese steak. Sandwich is a really good size, meat and veggies are fresh, but the filling lacked seasoning and flavor. The hurricane fries are definitely yummy though, the furikake is a really nice touch. I would certainly come back though and try something different.
How do I put this?. Absolutely Fantastic! Mac and cheese balls sounded weird at first, but an amazing 10/10. The sandwich I got was called the ? prime flat iron steak grilled cheese sandwich burger?, a total mouthful, but the best food I?ve had since I?ve been to Hawaii. I will make another trip back to this island just to eat here again.
I ordered a cheeseburger with bacon. And I got the saddest looking grilled cheese. Awful, all around. Then she didn?t even own up to her wrong order. I asked for sweet fries, got plain. Geez. Terrible.
Excellent burger! Gluten free buns and the patty has a ton of spices rubbed on the outside very flavorful and tasted like we grilled it in the backyard! I got the aloha burger which has pineapple, and you can add a bunch of grilled veggies for free add the jalapeños!! They also have sweet potato fries, a little overdone but another unique feature they have here. Plenty of tables under umbrellas outside to eat on site. The hurricane sidewinder fries (heavy garlic onion) are surprisingly good as well!
My wife and I were visiting Maui Burgers/ Hawaii all the way from grand big ol Texas and we were staying in Kihei with family so we wanted to find a good southern styled burger place. Although the name ?Maui Burgers? seemed simple enough well we weren?t looking for anything fancy, we just wanted our burgers to taste like they were home cooked in our backyard on our grill nice and charred! We walked in the place and were intrigued with the painting on the wall, felt like we were in an Aquarium for a moment so that was nice for the scenery aspect. The menu is a LOT to choose from, with a lot of unique hawaiian names that us Texans sure aren?t used to like da kine.. puups.. etc and although we got some tasty sounding suggestions from the cashier working there (believe his name was Tyson) he was also quite the characteristic guy who made us laugh. Anyways, my wife and I still stood there with our jaws dropped at how many items were on the menu to choose from. I bet we looked silly but we couldn?t help it. Really it depends on what exactly you?re craving I guess cause they got more than just your average burgers here and I?m thinking that?s what makes em? special. Well I digress, we finally just settled for one of the combos the Upcountry with the onion ring on top and my wife got the Makawo I believe with the bacon Swiss. But we decided to add a side of their homemade onion rings and boy we were pleasantly surprised cause I mean when business claim things are homemade usually you got to find out for yourself and we were glad we did! A great addition to their original ?sidewinder fries? that came with our combo. We gobbled it down The staff seemed to be in great moods, very helpful, friendly, and attentive so it was nice for us first timers to have such an experience. We?re only in Maui for a few weeks but definitely plan to come by more than a few times. Maybe try one of those amazingly huge stuffed burgers they were talking about! I?d recommended if your in the area
