Johnny's Ozark Fried Chicken - Kilgore

Johnny's Ozark is probably the best fried chicken place in Longview. It's a bit more expensive, but the quality makes it worthwhile. Their sides are also really good. I recommend the baked beans, as they manage to be tasty, but not overwhelmingly sweet. Their potato salad is also good quality. Though, if you get that, be aware that the portions are pretty small. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. I will definitely go back at some point.

Friendly staff, great fish and chicken, and the restaurant was clean. One of our favorite places to visit in Kilgore.

The food was delicious. It even looked well cooked and had a freshness to the taste. I will go back again!

Catfish is excellent, fried chicken is good, green beans are excellent, skip the mashed potatoes, the stuffed jalapeños are actually crab cakes with a slice of jalapeño, so excellent or disappointing depending on what you are hoping for. The hush puppies are a little boring but not bad per se. The fries are bordering on excellent.
